However, I remain unsure as that can become a substantial edit of the flow. I got this request once, and opening this issue to track if it occurs more often.

Currently the invitations require the knowledge of the co-authors email. This can be confusing in scenarios where the username is known. Might be worth considering allowing the invitation by username too? However, I remain unsure as that can become a substantial edit of the flow.
