nami reported the issue that authoritative DOIs for outputs are not yet registered. This makes sense when they are older than the feature of versioning, or more specifically, those that never had this part of the metadata schema as relevant upon registration. These are all the outputs from before Feb 1st 2026, but no harm in updating in general.

ongoing. may take a moment as this is a manual process for QA purposes. I have an open spreadsheet to keep track of this.

added a batch update endpoint in the api that can be used to do this retroactively. still needs to be implmeneted in the admin panel to run this.
